  1. To create a new campaign, you can either click the + button on the left-hand menu next to “Campaigns”, or you can click “Campaigns” on the menu and click the + button from the main Campaigns page:

2. Choose a name for the campaign. If the campaign will be a single notification, you can just name it the notification type (such as “Visitor Count”). If the campaign will include many notifications, then name it something descriptive to the notification set (such as “Product pages” or “Christmas campaign”).

  • Campaigns and notifications are sometimes used interchangeably when talking about Social Evidence, but there actually is a difference:

    • Notifications are the actual pop-ups displayed on the site, including Reviews, Conversions, Announcements, etc.

    • Campaigns are an overall strategy where a group of notifications all have the same display settings and can all be activated or deactivated at the same time.

      • (A campaign can contain multiple notifications or you can choose to make each notification its own campaign).

3. Click the blue Create Notification button, name your notification, and choose the notification type from the drop-down menu:

4. Follow the prompts to create a campaign. These articles give more detail for each notification type:

5. Every campaign has menu options on the left side. The Notifications button lets you create new notifications within the campaign by clicking the + button. The Display, Options and Launch buttons control every notification within the campaign. If you change something in one of these menu options, it will change it for every notification in that campaign.

Here is more information about the settings within each button of the menu that controls every notification in the campaign:

6. To make a campaign live, you need to activate it in two places. First, within the Notifications tab, and second within the Launch tab, and then click Save and Publish:

If you want to deactivate the campaign, you must turn it off in both locations also, and click Save and Publish.

7. To delete a notification but keep the overall campaign, click the trash can icon within the notification tab:

To delete the entire campaign, you will need to click the trash can that is within the Launch tab:

You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the entire campaign by typing the campaign name:
