A conversion notification displays real actions taken by individual people. Conversions usually include a purchase, but can also include things like an optin for a newsletter, a lead magnet download, a webinar registration, a booked appointment, etc.

Conversion notifications contain an image and usually some personally identifiable information like first name and location:

Streak notifications are similar to a conversion, but displays the total number of real people who performed an action over a certain period of time:

To configure a conversion notification

  1. Click the Create Notification button within your campaign:

  2. Give your notification a name.

  3. Select Conversion from the Notification Type box.

  4. Click Create.

Connect a source to your notification by clicking the CONNECT A SOURCE button and creating a new source or selecting an existing one.

Design Your Conversion Notification

Once you have connected a source, click the Design tab.

Here you can customize the look and feel of your notification.

Creating Merge Fields

The default notification does not have any identifying information included (information about a real user, taking a real action). In order to add that, you will need to create Merge Fields. To create a Merge Field, click the EDIT FIELDS button.

Click Add Field.

  1. Give your field a name (First Name, City, State, Product, etc.)

  2. Give your field a default value. This value is used if for some reason your source does not send a value in the source field you select.

    • Example: If you are creating a First Name field, you might put “Someone” as the default value in case the first name does not get sent over by the source.

  3. Select the corresponding field from your source(s)

    Click Options.


    Here are more options for how we can interact with the field we receive from your source.

    Once you have finished configuring your Field, click Create Field.


    Repeat this process for the rest of the fields you want to merge into the notification.

    Add your merge fields to your notification by highlighting the text you would like to be dynamic and choosing which merge field to use:


    When you are done customizing, make sure to click Save.



    Click the Settings tab and choose which settings you want for the campaign:

    Once you have configured the settings you want, toggle your new Conversion notification to Activate.

    Make sure to go to the Launch button and click Save and Publish. This notification will show as soon as the source sends over some information.

    Streaks


    Follow all the steps above to create a Streak notification as well. The main difference you will notice is that on the default notification, there are merge fields for "[streak]" and "[timeframe]".

    • [streak] - The merge field that places the count of the Events we have received from your source.

    • [timeframe] - The time frame that gets merged in is based on what you have configured in the Settings tab. Please note that whatever time frame you choose (day, week, etc), that word will be present in the notification verbiage.
