Existing Clients moving to our Shopify app

Steps needed in order to move to our public Shopify app successfully.

As an existing client, in order to move over to our public Shopify app successfully, you will need to do a few things before you can begin the app installation.

If we are installing and integrating the app for you, we will take care of all these steps for you.

If you are moving to the new app yourself, please continue to follow the steps below.



Deactivate the Shopify Connect App

If you have our Shopify Connect app enabled, please deactivate it by logging in to your Shopper Approved account > App Marketplace > Shopify Connect App. This app will no longer be supported and needs to be deactivated.

1. If it's Active, click "Edit Settings".


2. Scroll to the bottom and click on "Deactivate API".

Leave all existing settings as is.


Uninstall and delete the Shopify Connect app within Shopify

  1. Log in to your Shopify store > Apps > Develops apps.


  2. Click into the Shopper Approved app. It might be called "Shopper Approved Product Feed" or similar.


  3. Uninstall the App in the top right

4. You can also delete the app by clicking into "App settings", scroll to the bottom and Delete.


Disconnect the Custom Pixel

  1. Navigate over to Settings > Customer Events and disconnect the Shopper Approved custom pixel.

The custom pixel MUST be disconnected in order for the checkout survey to work.


Now you can continue to the Shopper Approved Shopify App Installation.
