How to verify the custom pixel on Shopify is working correctly

After you have place the code via the custom pixel on Shopify, you want to place a test order to verify all is working as expected.

We will collect the customer email address for the sole purpose of sending a post purchase email asking for a review.

Follow these steps to place a test order:

  1. If you have not yet enabled the “email all” setting, navigate to Setup > Seller Ratings within your Shopper Approved dashboard to turn on the "email all" setting. This setting must be on in order for the custom pixel to work properly.

    Note: we recommend that your privacy policy states that you may share customer email addresses with a third party.



  2. Place a purchase on your website just like a customer would.

  3. Once you’ve placed your order, go to Seller Ratings > Manage Seller Ratings within your Shopper Approved account.


  4. Click the blue Filter Menu.

  5. Select “Pending Full Survey” under Display Reviews by.



    You should see the information for the order you just placed.
