The Rotating Widget is a customizable review carousel that allows you to showcase your Shopper Approved store reviews directly on your website. It can be added to any page on your site, but we especially recommend placing it on your homepage to highlight customer feedback and provide social proof to potential buyers.

The widget automatically rotates through your selected reviews, making it easy for visitors to see what your customers are saying about your business. You have full control over the widget's appearance and the reviews displayed, allowing you to customize it to best match your website and showcase your strongest customer feedback.

You can access the rotating widget in your dashboard by clicking (the menu icon in the top left corner > Widgets > Store Ratings > Rotating Widget).

The default widget displayed on this page is the standard Shopper Approved widget and serves as a reference for our recommended best practices. While you can use it as is, we highly recommend creating your own widget preset. The default widget cannot be customized after installation, while a custom preset allows you to make updates at any time that will automatically reflect on your live site.

To create a custom widget, click Create a New Preset, give your preset a name, and customize the available settings. When you're finished, save your preset. The installation code for your custom widget will be generated at the bottom of the page and is ready to be added to your website.

If you need to make changes to your widget, you can return to your custom preset and click the pencil icon to update your settings. Any changes made to your custom preset will automatically be reflected on your live site, typically within 12-24 hours.

The Rotating Widget includes several customization options that allow you to control which reviews are displayed, how the widget looks, and how it behaves on your website.

Use this field to create a name for your widget preset. You can also rename an existing preset at any time.

Choose which reviews you would like displayed within your Rotating Widget. Available options include:

Favorited reviews are reviews that you manually select by clicking the heart icon next to a review within Manage Store Ratings.

Choose how many reviews you would like your Rotating Widget to cycle through. You can display up to 50 different reviews.

Choose which information is displayed within your widget, including:

Choose whether your Rotating Widget displays reviews vertically or horizontally.

Select how many reviews are displayed at one time within the widget. You can display up to 5 reviews at a time.

Choose how the review date appears within the widget (for example, MM-DD-YY).

Enable this option if you do not want your widget to automatically rotate through reviews. The widget will remain displayed as a static review section.

Choose how reviews transition when rotating. Available options include:

Set how many seconds pass between each review rotation. This is set to 5 seconds by default, but you can choose up to 10 seconds.

Customize the colors and styling of your Rotating Widget to better match your website.

Select whether your website uses a light or dark background. This helps optimize the widget's appearance and contrast.

Choose a custom background color for your widget.

Customize the color of the text displayed within the widget, including review comments and other text elements.

Choose the color of the rating stars displayed within the widget.

Choose the color of the borders displayed around your reviews.

Adjust the size of the stars and text displayed within your widget. The default size is Medium 16.

Once you have finished customizing your Rotating Widget, click Save Changes and copy the generated installation code to add the widget to your website.
