What it should look like

Product listing ads, or PLAs, show product specific review stars on your product listings in Google when you search for a type of product. This helps drive traffic to your site.

Here is an example of searching for a company’s type of product “londontownusa lakur:”

When you are running ads, the reviews are aggregated from other sources that may be collecting reviews for this item. The reviews that come from your domain are your Shopper Approved collected product reviews that are syndicated to Google.

Troubleshooting

If a product isn’t showing reviews in Google Shopping, there are a couple things you should check so that you know where the problem is.

  1. Does the account have 50 written product reviews overall?
In order to do this access, your Shopper Approved dashboard and export your product reviews to a spreadsheet. Go to your dashboard, click the drop-down menu in the top left corner, and then click on the "Review Export" link within the "Review Tools" section. Here you can see all of your reviews and filter them by product.

  2. Do the reviews on the product mention your domain name, shipping or delivery, or is the review more a merchant review than it is a product review?
    - To do this, access the product in the Shopper Approved dashboard by clicking on the drop-down menu in the top left corner then click on the "Product List" link within the "Product Reviews" section, and then search for the item by name. If the item in question has 3 product reviews one of the reviews might be blocked. Reviews are blocked if they are more of a merchant review, don’t have enough content, or mention shipping/delivery or the domain name. To check this please submit a ticket to [email protected]. We will be able to look up this information.

  3. Do the products in the product feed have strong identifiers? MPN and Brand or GTIN (global trade item number or UPC), are required for each product.
    - To check this, click into the drop-down menu in the top left corner and then click on the "Product List" link within the "Product Reviews" section and see if we have strong identifiers for the product in question.

  4. Does the item in question have a product URL and Image URL so Google can associate a picture with the item?
    - To check this, access the pencil edit on the product. Make sure the product image and image URL work.

  5. Is your product feed up to date with your Shopper Approved account?

  6. Does the item in question have the same product ID as the feed and the product ID hosted on the website and in the Google merchant feed?
    - To see if your product feed is up to date with your Shopper Approved account, select Product Integration from the drop-down menu. Has the feed been read recently and does it have the correct amount of product reading? Does the item in question have the same strong identifiers as the feed being sent to Google through your merchant center as the feed uploaded to your Shopper Approved dashboard?

  7. Have the product reviews been set to private so they are not syndicated to Google?
You may have requested to have this done as a custom feature. Check with Shopper Approved.

How to Fix

If your product attributes match your Google feed that you are sending to Google through your merchant center and your Shopper Approved feed, you don’t fall into any of the troubleshooting criteria, and it has been 5 to 8 weeks, then please submit a ticket to [email protected] so Google can be contacted regarding the issue.
